The team’s main goals will be the Pro XCT series, the Windham World Cup and the national championships. “Our organization had a very strong first year that was made successful with the solid support from our partners, so we felt this was a good time to launch the new team,” said team director Bill Wheeler.

Deidre York and Jason Hilimire will be new additions to the team. Wheeler is especially excited to see York’s talent develop. He said, “York has been racing for almost 11 years and at the age of 21 has quite a bit of experience in the sport. As a junior she went to the 2008 World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy, and finished in a solid 33rd position. She was National Series Champion from 2007-2009 for junior expert women and 2010 she was the top ranked Pro-U23 women’s rider in the US.”

The new team will include Bryan Alders, who previously rode for Cannondale/Monavie. Chris Baddick and Sam Morrison are riders carrying over from the 2011 Epic Endurance Cycling Team.

The Gear Movement-Epic Pro Cycling Team 2012 partners include Cannondale, SRAM, Stan’s NOTUBES, Schwalbe, Lazer Sport, Feedback Sports, Honey Stinger, Mix 1, Cateye, ESI, Oakley, The Gear Movement, Gebhardt Volkswagen and European Auto Body.
