On any given day at an elite World Cup cross-country event in 2010, a woman from Canada or the U.S. had a legit shot at the podium.
2. Proliferation of U23/Development Teams
The future may look back to 2010 and say that was the year American cross-country racing started to make a comeback.
From 2001 through 2004 the Red Bull Rampage was held annually, but then shuttered because of rider risk-taking and the ensuing carnage. It was back with a vengeance in 2010.
