As the closer of the 2010 World Cup season, Windham, New York was the high-noon showdown between the top two downhill gunslingers in the world — Santa Cruz Syndicate’s Greg Minnaar and Gee Atherton of Commencal.

After a see-saw season between the two, going into Windham the spread between the pair was a mere four-points on the final run. At the end of the day the rider who finished first would be the overall World Cup champ. Of course, the top two riders in the world finished one-two with a .37 difference. Atherton was champ and for the second year in a row Minnaar took second.
