We profiled some Purely Custom bike bling in a 60-Second Tech post last week. Making a drivetrain sexy, however, is a tough job.
But leave it to a company that’s been making chains for 100 years to produce functional-yet-flashy items: Wippermann Connex 9sG and 920 chains. The 9sG is a gold (brass-plated) chain and the 920 gets a Teflon coating rocking blue outer plates.
Connex chains are compatible with all mountain (and road) bike 9-speed drive systems on the market, Wippermann says. All 9-speed chains can be easily opened and closed by hand with the supplied Connex link.
The “gold” color of this chain makes it the ultimate fashion product. Its high grade brass coating offers reliable protection against corrosion. $49.95
