Almost like clockwork, the propellerheads at Cannondale trot out something special at showtime. Whether it’s Eurobike, Interbike, Sea Otter or their own mid-June in-house product introductions, Cannondale always pulls out the stops when their products are on display.

This year’s Sea Otter Classic was no exception. Cannondale’s lime green team compound sported a custom painted SuperSix Hi-Mod road bike and an ultralight Flash carbon hardtail mountain bike with Shimano’s Di2 shifting custom fitted for the off-road application.

And, we even got a glimpse of what appears to be a revised Scalpel short-travel XC bike.

There’s absolutely no info about the Scalpel, because we weren’t even supposed to see it. We were saying hello to team rider Jeremiah Bishop when the bike appeared at the back of the team trailer. Check the photo gallery for the spy photos, plus details of the sweet, 15-pound Flash carbon hardtail with Shimano Di2 shifting.

Check out Felt’s new secret XC bike.
