Shocks are so important to the ride. My bike was in the shop last week and I borrowed a friends spare bike that didn't have shocks.

It has been years since I rode a bike without shocks and the ride was not good. After a wicked downhill run my blisters had blisters on them.

I am getting my bike back asap.

No oil on the stanchions? Very cool. Are the seals on the 2010 forks a different design from previous years? If so, could an older fork be fit with them?I don't reckon you'd try your hand at a routine service just to give us an idea of how much easier or harder the FIT damper is to keep up over the open bath stuff, would you?
