US Open Of Mountain Biking Contested At Mountain Creek, New Jersey

Despite the US Open of Mountain Biking moniker, international riders took top honors at Mountain Creek, New Jersey on Memorial Day weekend. Overall Downhill results went to Sam Hill (AUS) and Miranda Miller (CAN), and the Giant Slalom went to Britain’s Brendan Firclough. Jill Kintner was the lone American to make the top spot on the podium in a gravity discipline.

“An hour long deluge fell on the course half way through the amateur men and shortly before the pro women. Unlike baseball, though, no one ran out and covered the track for the racers, they had to deal with what mother nature dealt them.”
